Purpose and Instruction The primary objective of the Motorcycle Technology Academy is to prepare students for entry-level employment or advanced training in the motorcycle service technology industry. Classroom, shop and laboratory activities are an integral part of this program format. These activities will include training in the design, construction, theory of operation and general maintenance of the various manufacturers’ models of motorcycles, personal watercraft, snowmobiles and scooters. The standards in this curriculum framework will stress important industry elements necessary for a successful career. In addition to technical competence, South Tech Academy students graduate with the important traits needed to succeed in the workplace, such as dependability, outstanding work ethic and proper safety awareness. |
